Autumn Burton
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Autumn Burton is a graduate of George Washington Carver Center for the Arts and Technology’s literary arts magnet program in Baltimore County, Maryland. In addition to being the recipient of numerous awards from the Scholastic Arts and Writing Competition and NAACP’s Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics for writing, she held a variety of leadership roles throughout high school. To name a few she served as the president of Science Honor Society, vice-president of national English Honor Society, student body treasurer, a Rotary Youth Ambassador. She also was a HerCampus High School Ambassador before becoming an intern for the Vegetarian Resource Group and the Environmental Health department of Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.

A wearer of many hats, Autumn plans to focus on international politics and global environmental health at Duke University. Nonetheless, she will continue to pursue journalism and creative writing to promote global activism.
